description | Multimedia learning in education has been prominent since years ago and is widely used in many schools around the world. Experimental procedures have always been taught through traditional laboratory manuals, but more schools are starting to create video demonstrations as protocols in order to aid their students in understanding the experiment. The main focus of this Final Year Project was to create two video protocols and the points that were taken in account during video creation are shown in this thesis. It also touches upon the effectiveness of videos in helping students to learn the experimental procedures. The two videos created by a team of 3 (Mr. Soh Hong Seng, Ms. Eunice Ong Mei Jing and myself) are on SDS-PAGE and Acids, Bases and Buffers. The results from the survey are positive where more than 90% of the surveyors regard video demonstrations to be useful as a form of preparation before doing the actual experiment. |
