Description
Summary:Postcards from the Internet is inspired from an interest in examining how the photographic medium has changed the way we see the world and it’s influence on the behavior of the individual. The transformation of the photographic medium from analogue processes to digital has made photography more accessible along with its ever-multiplying capacity, which has altered the way users manage the recording device. The camera as an aid for the preservation of memories has surpassed what it used to be, and has replaced the human eye in viewing the space around us. Everyone is taking a picture, but is anyone really looking? This photographic project attempts to take a closer look at the influence of digital transformation on photography and it’s effect on the way people photograph.
