description | Our project, Into the Blue, is an immersive stereoscopic 3d animation of underwater reef life. The aim of the project is to simulate an environment for a viewer to experience. We chose to do an underwater environment as we felt that it had a lot of potential to look beautiful, as well as to challenge ourselves with animating something that was very different from what we were taught. It will be screened in 3d on a larger cylindrical screen that would allow viewers to experience an underwater world in a way that resembles the observation tunnels in aquariums. A looped animation allows it to be played continuously, much like a screensaver, as an environment that is always there. |
