description | There is innate desire to discover the unknown, imagine the unimaginable and to understand our surroundings in a different dimension. It is a beauty how the mind works in providing us with such detailed imagery of something that we think might be possibly is unimaginable or non-existent. Through a visual investigation of patterns engaging into the play of color and lights, my project entitled ‘Elevate’ aims to explore the creative exuberance of mental representations by examining different altered states of perception. By equating notions of chaos and serenity, the project aspires to illustrate untold stories of three distinct altered states: drug-induced state, religious mysticism and near-death experiences. |
