Description
Summary:The purpose of this project is to design and implement Micro XYZ Servo-Mechanical Movement Positioning System and Sample Rotating Holder System, in terms of micrometer movement, by using ‘Autodesk Inventor software’ a commercially available three-dimensional designing tool. This project is divided into five different parts. This report details the entire process of the final year project entitled ‘Design and building of servo-mechanical movement and positioning system for scanning Kelvin probe workstation Part I: hardware’. The purpose of Kelvin Probe workstation is to scan metallic surface for cracks in terms of micrometer. This report presents the process of designing the Micro XYZ Servo-Mechanical Movement Positioning System, Sample Rotating Holder System and Emergency Stop System. The report also presents the experimental results of the Micro XYZ Servo-Mechanical Movement Positioning System. The purpose of designing the systems is to facilitate the bigger picture of the whole project of the scanning Kelvin probe workstation which is been divided into five different parts. The scanning Kelvin probe workstation is used to measure work function of metal surface by using the hardware designed Micro XYZ Servo-Mechanical Movement Positioning System.
