Description
Summary:Electrochemical capacitors, also called supercapacitors or ultracapacitors are a kind of energy storage device that allows rapid and reversible storage of energy. Electrochemical capacitors see a lot of applications in recent years, and the industry is rapidly growing. One of the limiting factors of supercapacitors is their low specific energy compared to rechargeable batteries. Therefore, we will develop a supercapacitor with high specific energy density using graphene based composite material in this report. This report covers a brief literature review about graphene, electrochemical capacitors and the electrode materials used in the project. The report focuses on the electrochemical evaluation of the supercapacitor electrodes using cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, the data analysis.
