Adobe Flash was selected as the development platform to create the software. The software comprises of 3 sections namely Lecture, Tutorial and Beam Solver. The Lecture section contains an archive of videos on topics related to statics of beams, the Tutorial section is where users of the software will apply what they learned by solving and answering the set of questions, while the Beam Solver section serves as a calculator where users are able to use it to solve for the unknown reactions force along with the shear force and bending moment diagram plotted automatically based on the parameters given by users. The software was able to meet the its required objective although there are some limitations in the software which are discussed along with some recommendations given.
