Description
Summary:Recently, heavy metal ions pollution has been more and more serious. An effective and simple metal ions sensor is an urgent need. In this study, we propose a label-free 2-carboxylmethyl-18-crown-6 modified optical fiber sensor for detecting the K+ concentration in water. The purpose that we make this optical fiber sensor is to test whether this optical fiber sensor with such configuration can be successfully used to detect metal ions in water. This optical fiber sensor is based on the Fabry–Perot interferometer (FPI), which has many advantages, including high sensitivity, fast response time and so on.
