| Sumari: | Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis mainly affecting population of the age 60 and above. Due to low self-recovery ability of cartilage, extrinsic methods such as drug delivery and artificial cartilage replacement are needed to promote the healing process of osteoarthritic cartilage. The most widely used diseased models in current drug screening study including animal models, monolayer models and 3D scaffold models. However, there are a few disadvantages on each of the system, for instance, ethical issue on animal models, dedifferentiation problem on 2D models, and low purity problem on 3D scaffold models.
