description The demand of power-lines is becoming increasingly popular for high-speed communications. Nevertheless, it remains challenged to achieve a reliable communication over the power-lines. While there are plenty of similar applications available in the market, most of the communications are dealing with much higher frequencies for higher bit rates and lower noise level. This also suggested a wider bandwidth for transmission. However, in this project, its application is transmitting and receiving signals at only a few tens of kilo-hertz, which are more manageable in order to investigate and explore on how to transmit information through the power-line. In addition, the report reviews the noise level and the attenuation encountered when communicating over the power-line.
