Description
Summary:The final year project (FYP) has provided the author some further insight on the basis of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), where the theory meets the practical implementation, such as applying the concept onto real application. The WSN is a significant research interest area where it is often put into exploring other possible applications of the WSNs, and some examples are Forest Fire Detection, Area Monitoring, etc. The main advantage of this is that it provides low cost and low power localization which is very practical for WSN applications. The hardware equipment that will be used in this project is a set of Crossbow wireless sensors to implement the wireless mesh network for reliable communication. In this project, Moteview is used for monitoring the topology of the network and collecting sensor readings, and Matlab is used for extracting the light and temperature readings.
