description Polygon-based 3D applications allow players to immerse themselves in realistic game world in a highly intuitive way. Although it is very popular in PC and home console games market, 3D graphics application on mobile platform is just in its infancy. With the improvement of mobile device hardware and its support for OpenGL ES and M3G (Mobile 3D Graphics, JSR-184 of J2ME), the implementation of 3D graphics on mobile devices will be coming to a rapid development era. In this project, not only the development history of 3D graphics technology for mobile device and its future trends but also the major APIs and their pros and cons are studied.
