The present study established a ranking of certain bank selection criteria in relation to Gazetted hotels in Singapore; and, establish the extent to which these criteria were satisfied by each hotel's main or sole bank. The study also identified the banks with which hotels have a relationship, quantified how many engaged in multiple banking, and identified the financial products and services they used. The results showed that the rated "Low interest rate charged" as the most important bank selection criterion. All the respondents had a relationship with at least one local bank. The Oversea Chinese Banking Corporation had the biggest market share. 48% of the respondents had a single-bank relationship and 52% had a multiple bank relationship.
