Inward Foreign direct investment (FDI) has been important for Singapore to achieve economic growth. Since independence in 1965, Singapore has been able to attract foreign multi-national corporations (MNCs) to set up their bases in Singapore and the growth of Singapore has been substantial. We analysed the impact of FDI on Singapore's economy using the four main economic variables: gross domestic product (GDP), exports, imports and domestic investment. The analysis shows that the effects of FDI on these four variables are significant.
