Description
Summary:As smartphone market grows rapidly in recent years, more and more people are accessing the Internet using their phones. One of the most popular activities is Instance Messaging (IM) or online chatting. There are several existing chatting services out in the market with large user bases, however, many focus excessively on monetization while rarely on privacy and security issues, which I believe should have been protected long time ago. The objective of this Final Year Project is to develop a secure chatting application, which respects the privacy of users. It provides a full-fledged multimedia chatting service, as well as a lightweight social network. Many advanced features, such as location based services, push notification service and self-destructive messages are implemented as well. A Keyword Targeted Advertisement Network is also built as a monetization method. The network provides a highly targeted advertisement service without collecting any personal information.
