Description
Summary:One language that is most widely used in the whole world is the English language. It is the third most common native language, which is no wonder nations all over the world; want to be proficient in English. Having the ability to communicate with other countries open doors to opportunities that could help further prosper the economy and living condition in terms of business, politics, trading, commercial or any other forms of cooperation. This also led to the reasons countries are investing to educate students ensuring they are being equipped with the language. The College English Test (CET) thus exists to determine the proficiency of undergraduate and postgraduate students in China, ensuring that they reach the required English levels specified in the National College English Teaching Syllabuses (NCETS). 18 million people are currently taking this test annually. With the huge amount of people taking the exam annually, there is a demand for the availability of past year papers online for practice purposes. As a result, many websites have surfaced and serve as a provider for past year papers. However, none of the website helps students to achieve the next level of learning. This project aims to develop a web application that not only consists of CET 4 past year papers, it will also strive to help student in reaching another level of learning by giving them a deeper insight of the past year papers through the provision of semantically advanced search. Various analysis tools will also be provided for better visualization of pattern identification. It is truly the only source students will ever need to excel in CET 4.
