The name Flowa is derived from the word ‘Flow’ and ‘Wa (和)’ the Japanese word for harmony. Flowa ‘harmonizes’ the flowing water (the essence of life) with its stone container (pot) and containing plant. Flowform is a scientifically proven biodynamic form whose surface follows the rhythmic movement of water to holistically improve water quality without the use of additional mechanical/electrical device. The report will outline and explain the design and modelling process involved to make this functional hydroponic interior product/system which has gone through multiple revisions conceptually, aesthetically and physically in design form. |
