Summary: | Family decision making, as the name suggests, is the study of the how family members come together and make joint decisions concerning the welfare of the family. It is also a study of the amount of influence each member has upon family decisions. To date, there is a great amount of research being done in this area. However, most past researchers used the self-declared scale to measure influence in family decision making. Therefore, there is a need for a more valid measure and hence, the Observed Influence Scale is developed here.
