description | Sustainable transportation, which is a sub-topic of sustainable development, has drawn great attention in recent years since vehicle exhaust contributes a considerable portion to the total CO2 (carbon dioxide) emission. Short-distance transportation alternatives are urgently in need in urban areas and the bicycle sharing system seems to be a valid choice.
This project aims to design a waterproof, durable and economical share bicycle mode for a Singapore based bicycle sharing system. Based on previous efforts, the embodiment and detailed design of all frame components have been finalized. This report covers a detailed review of the outcome achieved by the previous participant and contains a comprehensive presentation of every frame component’s structure and assembly. |
