description Nowadays, in the vibrant and fast changing business world, the needs for exchanging ideas, information and interaction between people are unsurprisingly higher than ever before. People communicate, connect and share information to help each other and businesses grow. In Singapore, more and more start-ups and businesses are appearing to take on challenges and contribute to the nation’s future. On the other hand, in its next phase of nation building, Singapore is encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation and realizing the power of private sector companies, who are expected to create a robust economy in the years to come. There are, however, many difficulties faced by those enterprises, especially in financial matters. Hence, a medium which connects entrepreneurs and capitalists for funding and co-operating opportunities is a great way to assist Singapore to achieve their mission of growing in the future. Currently, there are a few networks that connect angel investors and entrepreneurs in Singapore. Yet they lack of functions and important factors for users such as user-friendliness, ease to navigate and high scalability. This web application project, simulated as a commercial website with the name “Ideality” and slogan “Make your idea a reality” offers visitors and users the ability to share ideas, knowledge and connect with each other for investment opportunities. It also addresses issues stated above by providing simple but attractive user interface and allows users to control and manage their accounts as well as view resources and information in a convenient way. Most importantly, this web application enables high scalability and the same application can be developed for mobile users on various platforms. In this report, the author describes the system structure and application functionalities in details through different models, designs and illustrative diagrams. Implementation steps and final results together with test cases will then be examined. Towards the end of this report, the author will sum up all the project details and suggest some future improvements on the application.
