To solve these problems, Electric vehicle(EV) emerges as the time require. However, there is a key issue in generalizing the application of EV, which is that the common batteris cannot satisfy the requirement of the EV. The combination of batteries and ultra-capacitor is prevalently used in nowadays EV industry. For the sake of the effecieny issue, the hybrid power supply system will be tested to obtain a characteristics study. This report presents the design and simulation of a double-input double-output dc-dc converter. The switching scheme and working principle of it are proposed. In the Simulink software environment, the steady, dynamic charateristics, loss and effecieny analysis are conducted. A control strategy has been presented to regulate output voltage and realize the power budget between two input sources. In the simulation part, the system was tested in CCM and under the conditions of both ideal and nonideal elements. The results had shown that the system was able to run normally under such conditions and regulate the output voltages by adjusting both input and output duty cycles. The efficiency of the converter was also calculated based on the seady performaces of the system. However, these findings are limited by the designed controller strategy, further work needs to be done to develop a more efficient controller strategy.
