description This report aims to document the process and technology involved in the final year project. It also aims to detail the involvement of the student towards the project as well as the challenges faced. The aim of this final year project is to develop an Arduino controlled Interactive Optical Fibre lamp with user inputs coming in via an android application using Bluetooth. Using an Arduino Uno board, control of each optical fibre cable is made possible with the board acting as the brain of the lamp. Currently, the lamp comes with 3 different modes. The default mode where the lamp displays the colour the user inputs, the fading mode where the colours of the lamp would fade in and out based on the user’s preference, and the random mode where the colours of the lamp changes randomly. The speed of fading and blinking is also controllable via the Android application. Also included with the lamp is an acoustic directional speaker which users can use to play any song of preference with their phone.
