description We report the synthesis of shape and size controlled porous bimetallic nanostructures. Here we reported the use of silver nanostructures as sacrificial templates to transfer the nanostructures into hollow nanostructures. The perfect shapes and sizes of the ultimate Au hollow nanostructures depend on the perfect structure of Ag sacrificial templates. So, it is important to optimize the uniform shape and size of the silver nanostructures. We synthesized uniformly shaped and sized Ag quasi nano-spheres and Ag nanowires. Then we transfer them into corresponding gold hollow nanostructures by galvanic replacement reactions.
