Description
Summary:Photoacoustic imaging is an emerging and fast-developing biomedical imaging technique which is based on photoacoustic effect. This promising technology can realize imaging of biomedical tissues with high resolution and contrast ratio for deep penetration diagnostics. This project focus on the detecting and processing of photoacoustic signals. A near infra-red laser was used to emit laser pulse to irradiate a black wire. Then photoacoustic effect happened and the ultrasonic signals were generated. And these signals were received and converted by an ultrasonic transducer. After conditioning and processing by RC circuits and MCU, the value of converted voltage could be displayed on the LCD screen. The signals’ shapes and the linear relationship between inputs and outputs could be analyzed with MATLAB. These results can turn out that the display of outputs is effective. Then there is a photoacoustic phasoscopy imaging test to obtain high contrast images. This system can be used as a simple diagnostic device, and it may give some inspirations of expanding direction in the future work.
