Description
Summary:In-flight entertainment (IFE) system refers to the system that provides entertainment solutions for passengers on board an aircraft. Modern IFE systems consist of LCD monitors embedded at seatbacks and servers, which provide contents including in-flight video, audio programs, games and moving-map systems to the seats. This report presents the author’s 22-week attachment experience at Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC), the world's leading supplier of in-flight entertainment and communication systems. The report comprises four chapters, starting with the introduction to the organization and to the project, followed by the methodology and implementation of the project, and finally the conclusion chapter. The project aimed to utilize Quick Response (QR) code as a way to connect passenger’s own Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) to the seatback IFE system in a Wi-Fi network environment so that PED could be used as remote control of the IFE system and files downloading or uploading could be performed at the PED end.
