Description
Summary:In this project, CuO nanoleaves were synthesized by a facile room temperature synthesis. Impressively, the CuO exhibit rapid detection of Eugenol. The linear range of detection is from 1-650 µM. The study also proved that the detection limit is 0.8 µM. CuO modified electrode has proved to have high sensitivity, good repeatability and reproducibility, and long-term. An electrochemical reaction mechanism for the Eugenol’s oxidation based on this work was proposed. The CuO modified electrode was able to be used successfully in investigating Eugenol in medicated balm samples. The recoveries study for Eugenol in medicated balm samples gave values in the range of 100.3–112.5%.
