description This research study serves to examine mixed non-motorised traffic behaviour and characteristics in a local environment which has never been carried out in detail, neither in Singapore nor overseas. The easy applicability of LOSAM which caters to industry needs, has demonstrated its robustness and a similar matrix has also been established for nodes (junctions). The SAI is a multi-perspective (personal, situational and infrastructural compatibility) sophisticated route choice model, that can mimic average NMT decision-making process closely. The findings from this study provide valuable tools for transport professionals in the planning, design and management of NMT infrastructure. Of pertinent importance, this research study has entailed the development and application of new analysis techniques and models which should be of great interest to academic researchers.
