| Summary: | My primary role is directing and the short film I wrote and directed is “Come Fly Away With Me”. The story highlights the disillusionment of a People's Republic of China (PRC) migrant in Singapore, and before writing the story I had done extensive research on the plight of PRCs through sources in the media, as well first hand documentation such as interviews. Coming from a background where most of my short films are personal or autobiographical in nature, I wanted to challenge myself for FYP to deal with a subject completely outside of my personal experiences. The following report not only documents the process of making this migrant short film, but also many of the experiences I underwent in order to prepare myself to write this script.
