Summary: | What factors influence the level of moral conduct in a society? How do individuals choose between cooperating and living just for himself? To answer this question, we constructed a mathematical economic model where people interact on the basis of the Prisoner’s dilemma game with an intergenerational transmission of values from the parents to their offspring. We found different parameters that affect the steady state proportion of moral/cooperative individuals to those acting otherwise. The results helped open an implication for social & economic development policies. |
