Description
Summary:Power electronics, by definition, is a study of electronic circuits to control the flow of electrical energy. It booms in the industry of technology because of its efficiency. Power electronics helps reducing power consumption. The focus of the power electronic in this project will be the inverter. Inverter could control the transferred power to the load with high efficiency because the power is not dissipating much in the load driver. The project is to develop a closed-loop three phase inverter to complete Final Year Project at Nanyang Technological University. The design, simulation, and implementation of the system has been done by the Author, complemented by the Analysis of the closed-loop control system of the inverter. The closed-loop inverter will further be loaded into the Texas Instrument Microcontroller to control the system. The Microcontroller also emitted the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to compare with the sinusoidal wave from the output of the control. This project showed that with closed-loop control system, the final result will be the same even though there is a disturbance in the input or in the output, but there is still a problem if the disturbance was introduced in the feedback itself. The project also showed that the microcontroller Texas Instrument is able to be the single controller of the complex system, as well as to become the PWM emitter to the system.
