description In this final year project, a demonstration unit is built. It consists of MoviPLC controller, multi axis servo drive, servomotor and Drive Operator Panel (DOP). All the hardware and software products that used in this project are made by SEW-EURODRIVE. This demonstration unit is able to control the servomotor by using an innovative technology called “motion control with MultiMotion”. This “motion control with MultiMotion” technology of SEW-EURODRIVE was implemented in Europe few years ago, however only few customers know about it in Asia. Recently there’s an OEM customer who is looking for a higher standard automation solutions applied to their welding machine system. With this technology been applied, it can form an economical, productivity and optimum automation solution. This project includes assembling a demonstration unit, applying MultiMotion technology in the MoviPLC controller, designing the HMI interface of the Drive Operator Panel (DOP) and finally testing this new automation solution through the HMI interface on the demonstration unit. As a result, a complete solution including “motion control with MultiMotion” technology by SEW-EURODRIVE can be applied in the welding machine system successfully.
