Summary: | Establishing a free trade agreement between China, Japan and Korea is quite
essential for the three countries in the era of regional economic cooperation.
Especially since the WTO Doha round stalled, the juxtaposition of a

current prospects rather gloomy. This paper, considering China's current demands of
domestic economic development and analysing the challenges confronting present FT A
negotiations, argues why China is interested in and struggling to realize a China-JapanKorea
free trade agreement (CJK FTA).
