In order to reduce the risk of falling accident, many researches have been carried out to monitor the daily activities of older people and warn about falling threats. Among those researches, a lot of projects to detect Sit-To-Stand movement have been approached. With the development of Microsoft Kinect as a motion sensing camera device, one can utilize advanced functions of Microsoft Kinect to integrate into his/her own researches. This project focuses on the understanding of Microsoft Kinect sensors, as well as utilizing Kinect as a monitor device to detect Sit-To-Stand movements.
