description This final year project presents the design of a low-profile circular array of H-plane horn antenna whole radiating aperture is on the side surface of a short solenoid. The designed antenna array operates from 800MHz to 2500MHz. It shows good return loss, mutual coupling and radiation patterns for the whole frequency range. The software of High Frequency Structured Simulator (HFSS) is used to structure and simulate the design. A prototype was finally fabricated for actual measurements. The simulated and tested results are presented and discussed in this report to validate the design concept. This proposed antenna could be applied into spectrum monitoring systems that mounted on a mobile platform.
