description | Several environmental pollutants, including biodegradable and non-biodegradable pollutants, under conditions of high enough concentrations can cause serious damage to the living organisms. Chloroanilines as nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds and one of xenobiotic pollutants are widely used chemicals in industry for the production of polyurethanes, rubber, azo dyes, drugs, and pesticides, in which 3-Chloroaniline is proved to have an inhibitive effect on bacterial growth. Comamonas testosteroni WDL7 were proved to have the ability of degrading 3-CA. C-di-GMP is a secondary messenger in bacteria determines bacterial life between the planktonic and biofilm life modes, which is synthesized by GGDEF domain proteins and degraded by EAL domain proteins. YedQ is a GGDEF domain protein and yhjH is of EAL domain, which can be mutated with pyedQ and pyhjH induction. Comamonas testosteroni WDL7 wild type, yedQ, and yhjH mutants were incubated with 3-cholroanilne as the sole carbon source in planktonic environment, in which mutant yedQ showed a better performance on growth and surviving, pyhjH mutant showed a delayed degradation profile. |
