description This final year project is to aim to design a real time temperature measurement device for vehicle braking system. The device can send the temperature data to an IOS smartphone via Bluetooth. Vehicle health data is well viewed and collected in the APP in smartphone to provide useful information and achieve the aim of improving the driving safety factor. There are three basic hardware are selected to implement this project. One is infrared temperature sensor PS800. It is a non-contact integration sensor to measure temperature on the surface of the object. The main development board for this project is Arduino Uno R3, which is a very user-friendly microcontroller. To communicate with user’s smartphone, Annikken Andee (IOS) is selected. It allows user to monitor easily and control electrical device wirelessly via Bluetooth. The real time temperature of vehicle brakes is recorded in an application installed in user’s IOS device such as iPhone, iPad or apple watch. User can understand the brake health condition and take some actions by analyze the data. More features like car battery voltage, tire pressure can be integrated in this application also, and user can view and understand vehicle health condition in a very easy and direct way. Some control functions can be added in this device like cooling liquid to keep the brake pad at a health and safety range of temperature.
