description Vital signs provide essential indications to the core condition of our body functions. It is important to measure vital signs, whether during time-critical medical operations or regular health monitoring for healthy subjects. Commercial Health Care Monitoring Systems are available, but can be expensive. Thus, a useful Health Monitoring System needs to be portable, low cost and monitors data in real time to be subsequently analysed for medical diagnosis. The objective of the project is to implement a Multi-Sensor Platform that can be used to record, process and display some of the vital signs such as oxygen saturation, heart rate and human body temperature on a smartphone. The e-Health Sensor Platform implementation with the Arduino Uno 3, Bluetooth HC-05 and two other Sensors-Pulse Oximeter and Body Temperature Sensors has been completed. Arduino is a low-cost microcontroller board as well as an open source platform. Also, Arduino has the advantage of available libraries, and it can be programmed using simple programming environment with AVR C programming language. The Health Care Application has successfully been designed and developed on an Android phone. The real-time measured data has been successfully transmitted to the Health Care Application for display. The user can store the measured data in a database system. The stored data can be retrieved from the database system and displayed it on the Health Care Application.
