Description
Summary:The purpose of this project is to develop the wave energy converter model in Matlab/Simulink environment and put real measured data in to get power outcome, and compare the measured power and the simulation power. The power system is developed from wave turbine, which is a roller can be motivated by the wave through the pontoon, with gear box, to PMG (acronym o f permanent magnet generator) generator, to ACTDC rectifier, to DGfDC buck converter with MPPT (acronym of maximum power point track) microcontroller, to battery bank, and to DCTDC boost converter then DC/AC inverter with consumer load. Among these components, the WEC (wave energy converter) model and the outcome from the simulation and real measurement is the focus described in this dissertation. At first, the initial condition o f devices that developed at TMFT was introduced, and the whole structure was introduced, then the models developed in the Simulink software was introduced, there are three kinds of generator models and the control system o f the generator. At the end, the comparison between the measured data and simulation data was introduced.
