Description
Summary:Emerging amongst the many calls for prescriptions to innovate education, is a drive to make great strides in implementing effective deliverance of educational material from lecturers to students. This is realised through the trend of replacing the traditional instructor-centred lecture with online video content besides adopting collaborative active learning in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In the primitive design of learning, the only sources of knowledge were simply the teachers and textbooks. While there will still be an indispensible importance for the role of instructors in a classroom, a multitude of other accessible resources has broadened to enable information and ideas distribution through eBooks, the Internet, mobile devices and multimedia. For the purpose of this thesis, the task is to prepare two video presentations on the basic concepts of Neurobiology to assist in prospective students’ knowledge acquisition on the Neurobiology module. Utilising video presentation as a medium to disseminate information is ideal in the advent of the adoption of a blended pedagogical model.
