Summary: | There is an ambitious desire around the world to replace environmental harmful energy sources with renewables. One idea to protect the environment is using clean energy. One of the promising way of reducing dependency of conventional energy sources is energy harvesting. Among the harvestable energy, RF is gaining popularity. Although available in small quantities, it is present all the time. This constant source of energy is suitable for low power electronics such as monitoring sensors in buildings. As the amount of power that can be harvested is limited, a high efficiency converter is required to convert this into useful energy. |
