description The hobby of fish keeping has seen its popularity decrease within the recent years in Singapore, partially due to change of lifestyle of the Singaporeans. Most fish hobbyists have been turned away by the responsibilities of maintaining an aquarium. This project aims to utilise the flexibility and low cost of an Arduino Microcontroller board to control a fish tank in order to solve existing problems faced by the fish hobbyists in Singapore. The system seeks to utilise Arduino to automate functions such as water changing, food dispensing and lighting control that would eliminate the inconvenience caused when maintaining a fish tank. Additional features such as touchscreen, voice recognition are included to improve user experience. This report documents the process of developing the hardware and software of certain features of the system and integration of the features into a complete final product. The final product had managed to solve the problems encountered and improvements can be made to further enhance the overall fish keeping experience.
