description As animals go, no species has realised their desire for control as much as us. The average person spends most of their time in built environments, and few spaces that we know of exist beyond our influence. Despite this, it is clear that being controlled is one of the feelings we despise the most -and is one that can inspire us to think critically. As a result, few to no built spaces force us to their intended use. Much of our intellect and creative energy is put to work in creating and recreating expectable and practical spaces with generic forms that ease us into acceptance. Despite a growing and increasingly empowered awareness of this arrangement, most of us seem content to play along. The exchange is not without its benefits.
