description This Final Year Project aims to develop a courseware for Chain Drives. It is part of a module called Machine Element Design (MA3001). In this report are the research done prior to preparing the materials for the courseware and how the courseware will enhance the learning journey for the students. The objective and scope mainly describes what the courseware is for and what aspects of chain drives it will cover. Secondly, some of the most-used teaching methods are explained. The advantages and disadvantages are carefully analyzed. The learning materials are created based on the good points of each teaching method so that students will be able to experience and benefit from the pros of the teaching styles. The steps in the development of the courseware and the reasons and purposes behind each learning material is clearly explained in this report. A significant amount of visual aids such as videos, animations and gifs are created for the students to understand better and because visual aids allow the students to relate what they have learned to real life applications. This will spark their interest in the subject matter and make them become more creative and innovative. Feedback was also received from some students to improve the courseware further.
