Summary: | 米芾拜石图是后代画家热衷于绘制的题材,其画作内容主要是根据宋代四大书法家之一的米芾,因为爱石成痴而拜石为兄的轶事来绘制。由于此题材的画作经过不断流传及再创作,促使其蕴含丰富的文化与精神内涵。本文主要以文图学为研究路径,探析米芾拜石图与题画文学之间的互文关系。 首先会从中国的石文化以及米芾的生平经历来探讨他嗜石如痴的原因。其次,解析米芾拜石图的图面信息,论述米芾拜石图所隐含的象征意涵。最后,著重于分析题画文学的主题内容,来探讨画家的创作动机。 研究发现米芾拜石图及其题画文学,不仅兼具米芾“疯癫”与“高洁”的精神内涵,同时也隐含着传统文学题材中“以石为兄”的兄弟之情。另外,又因为石头的传统意象赋予其祝寿和宗教等文化意涵。Mi Fu bowing to a stone is one of the subjects that the later painters are keen to draw. It is a story based on historical facts and a folk story, where Mi Fu was struck by an imposing rock, following which he bowed deeply to the stone, addressing it as "Elder Brother Rock". As the theme of this painting has been constantly circulated and recreated, its rich cultural and spiritual content is continued. This paper aims to study the intertextuality of the Mi Fu bowing to a stone image and the literature on the paintings, by using text-image theories as its methodology. This dissertation begins with the China’s stone culture and the life and times of Mi Fu to find out the reasons of Mi Fu bowing to a stone. The second part will interpret the pictorial messages of Mi Fu bowing to a stone image and analyze its symbolic significance. The last part will focus on the analysis of inscribed poems on the paintings as well as study the motives behind the painter’s creation and the themes of the poems. Mi Fu bowing to a stone image and the literature on the paintings not only reflect the spiritual connotation of Mi Fu, but also got the metaphor of the emotion between brothers. Besides that, the image of the stone holds a cultural meaning of longevity and religion.
