Summary: | Better Together is a short film featuring an everyday Singaporean family, amidst a not so everyday event - namely, the General Elections. Protagonist Rachel Tan Wen Yi (24 years) is a young, aspiring political candidate, who struggles to balance familial responsibilities and the pursuit of her ambitions. A misunderstanding involving her family lands her bad press with just days before the final rally. Despite her predicament, her family members seem indifferent and her confidant, her mother, has already passed on. She finds herself discriminated, isolated, dispirited, only to later be reminded that her imperfect family is the perfect support she’s got.
