description With the ongoing increase of technological improvement and reliance on mobile phones in the world, mobile applications are developed every day to meet certain needs. However, not every application has a long lifespan and tend to drop off in the short run due to various reasons. Therefore, this project aims to create a gamification integration module that can be applied onto any mobile applications to prolong the lifespan as well as giving the users a sense of fun and achievement in using the applications. A smart receipt Android application will be developed to showcase the gamification integration module. The method used to develop the application is by using the Adobe PhoneGap framework, which is an open source distribution of Cordova. The framework helps in flexible developments and supports multiple platform such as android or iOS. In conclusion, the gamification integration module is created to assist other mobile application developers by allowing them to apply gamification aspect into their software to increase their application lifespan.
