description With the rise of transportation cost and inconsistency of public transport, commuters have been actively looking for alternative options for their first mile-last mile journey. Personal mobility device has seen an increasing popularity in recent years, and the acceptance of the device is getting stronger in bustling cities like Singapore. Personal mobility devices like electric scooter helps commuters in their short distance journey from one point to another. The environmental friendly travel method is a more cost effective option, and it is also a more sustainable choice for long term usage. This report discusses the ideation, design, and development of a new concept electric scooter that matches the needs of the new generation’s commuter. In this project, an electric scooter is designed to be light-weight, ultra-portable and customizable. In addition, the electric scooter is designed for frequent travellers so that it can be brought along when travelling abroad. Hence, the electric scooter has to adhere to regulatory restrictions from aviation authority.
