The law to promote Mexico investment and regulate foreign investment was first developed in 1973. Since then, notably in 1989, 1994 and 1999, the law was revised to expedite the Mexican government's objective of attracting new foreign investments and opening most of the economic sectors to foreign capital. These include the following industries like financial services, transport and communications, commerce and manufacturing, food and beverage, chemicals and plastics, basic metallic industries and machinery and equipment. |
