description | The purpose of this study is to explore the different test batteries, MATB-II and PEBL test.
Each test producing several subtests to measure comprehension, perceptual reasoning,
arithmetic skills, short term memory, attention and auditory skills. Percentage score and trends
of results are prorated according to the number of trials and time limit. 5 Participants who are
fluent in English and verbally speaking English as their domain language in daily life, aged 14
to 55 were administered in this study. Protocols were set in place to maintain consistency of
test situation and prevent any discrepancies. Test batteries are run twice with a change of
difficulty levels to identify familiarity of tests and strength of performance. Tests which
requires reasoning and logic tends to be easily familiarised while test demanding mental
arithmetic calculation or recall cause a strain in the results. The results in this study provides a
guideline or researchers to use when attempting to obtain scores of the MATB-II and PEBL
test batteries. |
