Summary:The planetary boundary layer (PBL) is the lowest layer of the Earth’s atmosphere which can be greatly affected by influences present in Earth. In this report, we study the estimation of the planetary boundary layer around the region of Singapore using the pressure data from Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere, and Climate (COSMIC). We then create PBL height maps of the region for each month using the results found. Lastly, we compared the results with radiosonde data from the University of Wyoming and discuss the differences.
